Care Instructions
Fresh Flower Arrangements
To help your flowers stay vibrant and beautiful for as long as possible, please follow these simple care tips:
1. Unwrap & Hydrate
Remove all packaging carefully.
If your arrangement is in a vase, top it up with fresh, clean water immediately.
If your bouquet is wrapped, trim the stems and place them in a clean vase filled with fresh water.
2. Trim the Stems
Cut 1–2 cm off each stem at a 45° angle using sharp scissors or secateurs.
Re‑trim every 2–3 days to help the flowers absorb water more easily.
3. Refresh the Water
Change the water every 1–2 days.
Rinse the vase thoroughly to prevent bacteria growth.
Add flower food if provided.
4. Remove Foliage Below the Waterline
Any leaves sitting in water will break down and cause bacteria.
Remove any submerged foliage to keep the water clean and clear.
5. Keep Them Cool
Place your flowers in a cool spot away from:
Direct sunlight
Heating or cooling vents
Open windows or drafts
Ripening fruit (which releases ethylene gas that shortens vase life)
6. Maintain the Arrangement
Remove wilted or spent blooms to help the remaining flowers last longer.
Gently rotate the vase occasionally so all sides receive even light.
7. Special Notes
Some flowers naturally have a shorter vase life than others — this is normal for fresh, seasonal blooms.
If your arrangement includes delicate varieties (e.g., hydrangea, dahlias, garden roses), misting lightly with water can help keep them hydrated.
Dried & Preserved Arrangements
Dried and preserved flowers are long‑lasting, low‑maintenance, and designed to bring beauty to your space for months — even years — with the right care. To keep your arrangement looking its best, follow these simple guidelines:
1. Keep Them Dry
Avoid water, humidity, and damp areas.
Do not mist or spray your arrangement — moisture can cause colours to fade, stems to weaken, or mould to develop.
2. Avoid Direct Sunlight
Place your arrangement away from harsh, direct sunlight.
Prolonged exposure can cause colours to bleach or fade more quickly.
3. Handle With Care
Dried and preserved flowers are delicate and may shed slightly over time.
Avoid frequent touching or moving the arrangement to minimise breakage.
4. Keep Away From Heat Sources
Avoid placing arrangements near heaters, fireplaces, or air‑conditioning vents.
Excessive heat can make stems brittle.
5. Dust Gently
Use a soft brush, feather duster, or a cool, gentle hairdryer setting to remove dust.
Avoid strong airflow, which may damage delicate blooms.
6. Avoid Outdoor Use
Dried and preserved flowers are intended for indoor display only.
Outdoor conditions (wind, moisture, sun) will significantly shorten their lifespan.
7. Natural Variations
Some fading, shedding, or colour change over time is normal and part of the natural beauty of dried botanicals.
Preserved flowers may soften or stiffen slightly depending on room conditions.
